Congratulations! You are conditionally accepted to Baldwin Wallace University (BW), so please follow the next steps to secure your place:

  1. Please pay the “$270 LADO-BW Enrollment Deposit”
  2. Fill out the LADO application form and make sure to select the BW-LADO Campus
  3. Take your placement test online: LADO will send you the test information in an email
  4. You will receive an email from LADO about your placement test score
  5. Pay the $1,500 tuition deposit (used for your tuition, book costs, and BW activities fee) and visa shipping fees
  • Log into your LADO account
  • Select the “Payment” tab
  • Enter $1,500 into the amount
  • Enter your credit card information and submit

6. Apply for your visa: student visa, transfer, Change of Status, reinstatement, I don't need a visa (The visa process doesn't change)

7. Apply for housing in the Cleveland area: please click here for more information

Note: If the visa application is rejected, LADO will refund the $1,575 deposit (Contact your Admissions officer for more information)

Applying to LADO will take a maximum of three business days. To get your visa, please plan your trip one or two months in advance.

You only need:

  1. A copy of your passport
  2. Your bank statement with the current balance

Do you have a sponsor?

  1. If your sponsor is a citizen or resident (permanent or temporary) of the USA, he/she must fill out the I-134: http://www.uscis.gov/i-134
  2. If you sponsor is not citizen or resident of the USA, he/she must write a letter stating that he/she will support your studies at LADO.
Complete your application

Contact us or fill out our application form:

  1. We will contact you within 24 hours
  2. Make the following payments: $70 Registration fee + $1,500 Deposit
  3. We will issue your I-20 (document that will support your visa application) in three business days

Note: If you want LADO to send the I-20 to your country, shipping fees will apply.

If the visa application is rejected, LADO will refund the entire deposit and the registration fee (Contact your Admissions officer for more information)

Get your Visa

Once you receive the I-20:

  1. Pay the SEVIS fee ($200) and print the I-901: https://fmjfee.com
  2. Set up an appointment with the embassy of the USA in your country
  3. Get your visa
  4. Travel!

Notes:

  • Contact the embassy to check what other documents you might need for your interview. If you need help with homestay, please click here!
  • Please try to arrive one week before your class starts to take your placement test. Don't forget to bring your passport with you.
  • Placement test schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4 pm (any time).
  • SEVIS and Visa fees are non-refundable

  3. Copy of I-94
  4. Copy of your F1 visa or Change of status approval
  5. Bank statement with the current balance

Complete your application

You can contact us or fill out our application form:

  1. We will contact you within 24 hours
  2. Fill out the top of the International Transfer Form and send to your current school. They will send the International Transfer Form to LADO via fax or email. If you are "in status" and we have received the required documentation, make your payments: $70 registration fee, 1 month of tuition. Click here for prices and schedule.
  3. LADO will issue an acceptance letter for you and your current school will release your SEVIS records to LADO
Register

Once you receive the acceptance letter:

  1. Come to LADO, take your placement test, and register for class!

Note: Don't forget to request your I-20 once your classes start.

Change your status

If you are “in status” in the United States and your visa allows you to change your status, LADO will assist you during the process. What do you need to do?

Make an appointment with one of our DSOs (Designated School Officers) (where?: click here), and bring the documents to one of our offices:

  1. Copy of your passport
  2. Copy of your visa
  3. Form I-94: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/consent.html
  4. Form I-539: http://www.uscis.gov/i-539
  5. Letter explaining why you want to become a student in the USA

Before making any payment, please contact the admissions officer to review the documentation and verity that you are eligible for the change of status.

Note: You could be required to bring more documents depending on your status.

Complete your application
  1. If you have received the confirmation of eligibility from one of our Admissions Officers, please fill out the application form and make the following payments:
  • $70 registration fee
  • $240 Change of Status processing fee
  • $1500 deposit

2. We will issue your I-20 (document that will support your change of status application) within three business days

Note: If the Change of Status application is rejected, LADO will refund the deposit and the registration fee (Contact your Admissions officer for more information)

Get your Change of Status approval
  1. Pay the SEVIS fee ($200) and print the I-901: https://fmjfee.com
  2. Prepare a money order or check payable to the Department of Homeland Security for $290.
  3. Send your documents to USCIS:

4. USCIS will adjudicate your application and will send you a notification letter via mail. Once you receive the approval letter from USCIS, come to the center you applied to, take your placement test, and register for class!

Note:

  • The placement test schedule is Monday through Friday (9:00 am to 4:00 pm)
  • SEVIS and Department of Homeland Security fees are non-refundable
  • The Change of Status approval can take between three to six months (in some cases it could be longer)

 

Reinstatement

How to apply?

Reinstatement processes are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Contact us and one of our Admissions Officers will let you know if you are eligible for reinstatement.

What is reinstatement?

Reinstatement allows you the opportunity to regain valid F-1 status. You may be eligible for reinstatement only if you:

  • Have not been out of status for more than 5 months (exceptions apply if there were exceptional circumstances)
  • Are currently enrolled or intend to enroll for a full-time course load
  • Can establish that the violation of status resulted from circumstances beyond your control
  • Have not engaged in unauthorized employment
  • Can document sufficient financial resources to pursue a full-time course load
  • Do not have a history of repeated violations
  • Are not deportable from the USA on any other grounds
